Colour school 3: Trying out a butterfly bead weave

Hi, I surrender to butterfly fascination or attraction- I am amazed how beaders achieve this regular beauty. Far from my ability ;) It has been my attempt to tame bright colours. The various schemes of butterflies are on Pinterest here , here, and  here.

The colour school post was about that it is possible to take two or three primary colours (yellow, red, or blue) and match them with black, white or grey. For an unexpected brightness and vitality.

I have made the little blue polimer beads myself. Rolled in salt then baked. :) For the wings I used here toho beads, preciosa and chinese ones after considerable culling. The wings are made in brick stich then attached to the body. i have used wire to strengthen the body and wings. :)

Here are some inspirational pictures of butterlies:

In conclusion, it was tougher to make than I imagined, but  I like the end result a lot :)

Have a beadful day, take care

Colour school 2: A necklace Barbara

Hi hello- I have come up with a new homework- the task was to complete a piece in one colour preferably black, white or grey. Most pieces were in black - of course it is a potent colour. So here we had to think
about TEXTURE, VALUE and other things:

My pendant  Barbara-I have made the pendant myself, using the molding sylicone form for polymer clay. I tried to use different textures on both sides, as the bottom I used the left friend of a  lost earing. oh super super challange I like it a lot .
See you!
Gutukas

Other wonderful pieces of the same task:

Two new pieces

Hi - oh i feel so much better after Christmas, all ,my creative energy is coming back, I don't know what it was- cannot understand. However, it isn't that I don't like Christmas, but this period just makes me numb in terms of jewellery making- it is as it is. Anyways.... two newer pieces (sorry for the poor quality my better camera hasn't been repaired yet. )

A set with polimer clay faces ("The Lady")
I have included toho beads, blue pearls, "swarovski", square beads. It is bead embroidery and herringhbone :)
The second piece is called "The Lady in  black and white" I did a bit of herringbone , then just strung some beads and joined them with the leather string. Of course there is soutache ;)

Happy beading just enjoy little pieces ;)

The fabric flowers necklace and some pictures of a countryside

Hi just a quick one here amidst all summer fun and heat (it is really hot here in Lithuania). I don't mind as long as I am by the water or in the water . It is a pity not enough   time to bead. ;(

This necklace is called "A White Garden" it was  a gift for my cousin (she is expecting a scond  baby) ;) I hope she will wear it ;)

The netting detail is very easy to bead, the picture was taken by V.Velyviene

1 row- the red circle (1- 15, 1- 11) I substituted the 15 for 11 and 11 for 8 The netting got chunkier from that :) If one wants a tiny variation better to use 15 number toho or Chech seed beads.

2 row- the blue and green circle- 3-15s, 1- 11, 3- 15s.

3 row a pearl or a swarowski between the 11ses. (Always repeat just the 2 and 3 row :)

Another set is called The Game so it is just another variayion of my beaded beads, it is a gift for another my lovely cousin :) I made polimer clay beads.
Here are just some pictures from my little vacation in Birzai:
Going for a run in heat :) on that day  6 km.
Everything is thriving and ripening :) Real apples and berries so rich and beautiful....

just some weeds in the field
a small mushroom amidst its friends by the house
not only for me
by the castle
sunflower
soon ready to eat in the pie
red sournesss

Happy resting and beading if you manage to have time ;)
