Fun beaded earings and a link to the pattern

I once was impressed by this beaded bead- it is awsome takes me to make about 20 minutes, I think can be made in a shorter amount of time. It is just me soooo slow ;) In general I don't like working with two needles. There is a youtube beading guru Sedonia handmade she makes cool beaded beads. :) with one- check it out for example here .

 My earings are crazy and simple- had fun today for an hour ;) I call them "Colour explosions -red" I am going to make more of these I have had a kick on them recently. :)

Soutache and beadwork bangle

Here is some bead work at last....

I have watched wonderful and easy to follow Jill Wisemans's tutorial Festival Lights Bracelet (here) and I have  made a bangle with twin (like duo) beads, but it was too flimsy so I made another one joined it with soutache piece and saved the day :)

I used grey twin beads, and Chech tiny black with silver lining beads and some sort of svarowskis- it is a great destashing project- I didn't buy anything had everything in my bead boxes (I am going to stop hoarding beads- I hope ;)))

Festival Lights Bangle inspired set :) the earrings are totally random just strung something :)

Black Sultan's Treasure

Hello, it is incredible how the time has been passing, we are heading into late autumn. Now in front of my window, there are bare trees and a shabby apple tree with a couple of red cold apples, droplets of rain are hanging off black branches... Seems so calm. Oh I have a cup of coffe in front of me just now and it is cosy, with children's voices in another room... Oh as for my beading....I do, yes.

I have admired this pattern in Beadwork magazine (pattern by Maria Teresa Moran), it is called Sultan's Treasure. All the bracelets there are so colourful, I have made ablack version. Here is the name Black Sultan's Treasure.

 Now it is for my client, if the bugle beads are not comfortable for her wrist I will sew a black cahmere lining under and fasten the bracelet on to it ;) I like the magnetic clasp, it is more expensive but quick like lightning ;)

Sort of using my stash: turquoise necklace

Hi

I have completed a turquoise necklace (have called it Summer) as a gift to my Latvian friend-relative. I used the main colors- turquoise and brown and a secondary colour a bit of a hint of red and yellow. I bead embroidered around the focal beads. I took the inspiration from Beadwork  magazine older beadwork issue. It has been fun.

I have used or destashed: turquoise round big beads (they have been in  my stash for three years (not quite my colour), brown seed beads (in my stash for a long time- three years too).

Happy beading and getting ispiration from magazines be it old or new.

One pair of earings every day for a week- challenge

Hi (once again)

I will try to go on a learning challenge- a pair of earings  a week. :) Just for learning some techniques.,

The first one grey  pearl ones. I have taken the pattern from this nice beader , from TC Beads. 

I unfortunately couldn't stick to the challenge- it is too hard for me with the kids but I will be adding here some of my earing designs:

So a new pair, I like them a lot, have worn them through the past week a great deal.




















 It is composed of a light green ceramic drop, a metal bow and a simple beaded bead I have made myself- tie acircle of beads, make around three pairs of beads- continue beading them separately and them join three strands at the top- here is your bead. It is not as neat as other beaded beads- yet it is very quick and suitable for beginners :)
